Someone who frequently runs in premade groups should always bring corrosive projection for the armor removal as there is no way that any other combination will outperform a full cp squad. In PUGs however that situation occurs only very rarely. As a result steel charge is the winner, at least for most melee-related frames.

Shattering Impact is applied before percentage-based base armor strips, such as Corrosive Projection, and so the number of shots required to fully strip will be unaffected. Compared to Corrosive status effect, Shattering Impact has the ability to reduce a target's armor to 0 permanently, instead of just by 80% for the duration of the status effect.
